Default How and what to cook for a dinner date?

Our wedding anniversary is fast approaching. I am very excited about it since it is our 1st year anniversary. I would just like to have a dinner at our garden. But I want it to be really special. My husband really loves to eat and I want him to really enjoy the food on that day. I want to prepare something new. Any idea what food to serve and how to cook it?

there are endless ideas, obviously. As a jumping off point, what are some of his favorite foods? anything you've had at a restaurant that he really liked and you might be able to duplicate?

I found a website with tips on making the perfect romantic dinner. I think it's themed toward v-day a bit...but it looks helpful - http://www.romantic-ideas.co.uk/menu.htm

I was giggling like a little girl with your link, sarahlorrain. I guess Valentines makes a person that.

Mama Mangia, I'm curious about your restaurant recipes!

I don't know why, but I've always associated pasta dishes with romance. '~__^
