Oh out here in California they are about that price if not more depending on where you eat. I will have to look in the grocery stores for the drumsticks. I think those would be more kid friendly.

If I am making hot wings I bake them, but will season them usually with my blend of roasted chicken seasoning, then Dip them in a hot wing sauce and put them back in the oven to se the sauce on them a bit.

I like to deep fry them in batches, drain, then cover in sauce and bake for 5 minutes to set the sauce and make it sticky. Yum!

I have a pretty simple recipe that I use to make my hot wings....

some flour mixed with whatever chile powder I am in the mood for that day (usually I use some cayenne and ancho mixed together)

my sauce champaigne (sp?) vinegar, more chile powder, garlic powder, tomato paste, paprika, a little oregano, and some salt and pepper

I usually dregged the legs through the flour, deep fry them for about 5 minutes....coat them with the sauce and bake them for about 15-20 minutes.
