    Default bake salmon

How do you bake salmon. Not salmon in the can , but like the salmon filets that you buy from the seafood department. or if you know a website with instructions that would help too. thank you.

    Hey peacherina!
Here's a recipe from our recipe collection for baked salmon: George River Baked Salmon recipe.

I generally season it with Lemon juce, peprika, pepper, parsley, and lots of butter. I place it in foil and bake at 325 for about 20 min then flip it over and season and bake the other side for about 20 min as well. My family likes it like that too.

Have you considered grilling it? It's super easy and fast!

I usually just rub lots of butter on it, then coat generously with Salt, fresh lemon juice, pepper, and a little Parsley or basil...very similar to PoorGirl's recipie. I usually cook it skin side down, then when I flip, I peel the skin off (easily comes off). I like to leave the skin on during the first half to help keep the fillet from breaking when flipping.

How do you normally grill yours? What do you put on it? I am assuming you place it in foil over the grill.

A great herb for salmon is dill weed (dried or fresh). I usually use dried since I always have that on hand and the fresh you really need to plan for since it goes bad so fast. Melt some butter add a generous amount of lemon juice and then add the dill weed (dried works great). Mix well and they thoroughly coat the salmon. Salmon is best cooked by broiling in your oven or by placing on a piece of foil and grilling.
