I saw someone was going to post the recipe for their own tortilla chips, but I didn't see it anywhere. I make my own too, in the oven. I just cut some corn tortillas into triangles and bake single layer for 10 minutes or so at 400F (or until crispy)
for the cinnamon chips, I cut flour tortillas into triangles, lay them out on a baking sheet, spray with butter flavored cooking spray, sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar, then bake about 375F for 10-12 minutes. Serve with honey or chocolate syrup. |

I wonder if I could convince hubby to switch to homemade potato chips, once I've gotten the recipe right that is. So if anyone has a foolproof way of doing it, I'm all ears. I think I'll try Mama's version this weekend, see how it goes & I'll let everyone know how they turn out.

Very easy - hot oil to 350 - 360*; thinly (very thin) sliced potatoes (scrub and leave the skins on if you don't want to peel them); deep fry a few at a time; remove to paper towels and sprinkle with salt or flvored seasoning of choice. I love them while still warm! You've got to try it atleast once! And you can use sweet potatoes as well!
