Steak Fajitas ????

Ok, tonight I want fajitas. Normally I use a store bought dry mix as a marinade for the beef before cooking it. But I'd really like an authentic mexican style blend of seasonings to make from scratch.

Show me what ya got folks :)

Beef Fajita Marinade

1/2 cup olive oil
1/3 cup lime juice
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon cumin
3 cloves garlic, minced ¼ cup vinegar
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 tablespoon paprika
1 can beer

Mix all spices together.
Add beer to complete the marinade.
In ziplock bag, add marinade to 2 pounds steak; seal bag.
Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 8 hours or up to 24 hours, turning the bag occasionally.

Fajita Seasoning

4 tablespoons chili powder
2 tablespoons ground cumin
2 teaspoons ground oregano
2 teaspoon garlic powder

I love this recipe CanMan!!! I do not use beer in cooking much, but this sounds wonderful! I could use some other alcohol in place of the beer don't you think? Let me know.
I was thinking Tequila for that authentic Mexican meal & all;)
