Hmm, Tia I think you are talking about "zeere ke aalo", though I am not sure about it. I may need some more description. With what thing were you served this dish? And were there any cumin seeds in it? If yes I would love to pass on the recipe to you.

This isn't what you are looking for - but I wanted to share it with you -
Indian potatoes. Yield: 4 Servings 450 g 1 lb potatoes scrubbed and Chopped into small pieces. 1 Cauliflower chopped into sm Florets. 10 ml 2 tsp oil 5 ml 1 tsp turmeric. 25 ml 0,5 tsp cumin seeds. Ground black pepper. 100 g 3,5 oz mushrooms. Par-boil the potatoes for 5 minutes, then add the cauliflower and cook for a further 4 minutes. Drain. Heat oil in a wok and then add the spices. Cook for about one minute and then add the vegetables. Cook for 5 minutes or so until the vegetables are tender. |
