Hello from Southern California

Hi everyone! I'm an ol' man from Southern California, single, and suddenly developed an interest in cooking for one, canning, and dehydrating food with thoughts of emergency preparedness about a year ago.

Not pastimes normally connected to a guy, but I'm really enjoying myself and especially in making the ladies jealous of my stained apron.

I'm looking forward to learning more things here and maybe adding a penny or two of my own thoughts.
