Hi ,
I am new to t he forum I love t o bake and cook always trying new recipes ... I have decided this summer I am going to use my crock pot as much as I can to help from turning the oven on .. I would sure appreciate anyines favorite crock pot recipe if your willing to share .... Hope everyone has a blessed day ... Kookie

I think my favorite thing to do with the crockpot is to put it a 3 or 4lb beef roast then add one pack of lipton onion soup mix and a couple of cans of mushroom soup with a can of milk. I usually do one on low for 8 hours. It makes a wonderful gravy that is delish over mashed potatoes. I add mushrooms when I have them.

Well you will love it if you use it alot! I love cooking everything, most especially roast pork loin, or roast beef as Janie does, then potatoes, carrots, and onions! But I love dry beans slow cooked and with added sausage links cut into small pieces, diced onion, bell pepper, and garlic or use ham bone. I have even done stuffed bell peppers, and stuffed cabbage leaves. There is a recipe I posted called "Lebanese Grape leaves" that you can substitute and use cabbage leaves instaed of the grape leaves. Just use the search button to find it. And never forget chicken slow cooked in the crockpot is soooo tender!!! You can brown it first or not, add whatever seasons you like and let it go! The thing I like about crockpot cooking is it gets the aroma really going on!
