    good morning everyone! this is how i got to this website:
    i woke up to the tv luring me into:
    "The Ronco Knife" experiance. Boy, did that sound amazing!
    so i called. how does something cost $39.99 and the shipping come to
    $43.00????? and of course, that's just the start. i've been remodeling;
    well my contractor husband has, for 3, (THREE!) years, cooking on ONE
    burner the entire time BUT! i will have 2 kitchens when we're done.
    the idea of having 2 complete knife sets was more than enticing.
    by the time they were done with me, the low price of $39.99 came to $179.
    $179. !! i did try to present the audatiousness of this cost to them.
    but, for some reason, "she" was just NOT getting it!?? this is my advice:
    "just say no". it's so simple! then i went on line just to see if there were others,
    like me that experianced this "cutting dilema". and here i found some...
    i do love to cook, so i am looking forward to this website. can you find decent
    knives, say "at Ross?!!!" don't all cringe at once...

    Howdy John,

    ...and welcome to our group! I think you'll find we're quite a friendly bunch here. We come from all walks of life, all regions and a variety of food experience- we've got eastern cooks, western cooks, city cooks, country cooks, southern cooks, northern cooks, pros, ex-pros, farmers, gardeners, etc. We all loaded w/ knowledge that we generously share- and also inquisativness about things others are e xpert at (let's face it- NONE of us knows it all!) and the sharing that goes on here is absolutely incredible! Welcome- we hope to see you here often! smiles- kevin (chubbyalaskagriz)

    Hi Cathleen. Welcome to the site. Why not start your own thread to introduce yourself. I had those Ronco knives and they are junk. The best knives I ever had are cuisinart and rada.
