Default Devil Dogs

Devil Dogs
Shell:

* 2 sticks margarine
* 2 cups sugar
* 2 eggs
* 2 cups water
* 4 cups flour
* 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
* 1 cup cocoa
* 1/2 tsp salt

Combine all ingredients. Drop by tablespoonfuls on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes.

Filling:

* 2 sticks margarine OR 1 cup shortening
* 2 cups confectioners sugar
* 2 cups marshmallow fluff
* 2 tsp vanilla extract

Mix ingredients well. Spread filling between two cooled shells.

Mmmmm! That looks really good! I'm definately going to have to try this recipe. I think it might be something that my hubby & me can agree on. LOL

Mama your devil dog recipe brought back found childhood memories. My Mom would give us devil dogs in our school lunch as a special treat. Ours were the kind that you bought in the store. Can you still get them in the grocery store?
