    Default Buttermilk Biscuits Low Sodium

    2 cups flour (No Sodium)
2 teaspoon Featherweight No Sodium baking powder
    1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    1/2 teaspoon salt substitute
    1/4 cup shortening (No Sodium)
    3/4 cup buttermilk

In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt substitute; cut in shortening until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in buttermilk; knead dough gently. Roll out to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut with a 2-1/2 inch biscuit cutter and place on a lightly greased baking sheet. Bake at 450 degrees for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown.

Oh, I can buy it but I just have to order it through Healthy Heart Market and wait about a week for it to get here. It's where I get my Herb-Ox Chicken broth and Herb-Ox beef bouillon also. I live so far in the sticks that a great selection is found only in the Farmers Market.
