Default Linguine with Homemade Basil Sauce (ready in 15 minutes)

Linguine with Homemade Basil Sauce (ready in 15 minutes)

This one is super fast and easy, you throw it all together in a mini-food processor or blender then mix it with the pasta.

Ingredients:
1 Cup firmly packed fresh basil leaves, well-dried after washing
salt to taste
3 Tbsp freshly grated parmesan cheese
2 Tbsp freshly ground Romano cheese
3 Tbsp pine nuts
2 cloves garlic
1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil

Linguine (1/2-3/4 lb. depending on how much sauce you want on your noodles)

1. Boil water for pasta
2. Combine basil with salt (about 1/2 tsp. to taste) in blender or food processorf until chopped.
3. Add cheeses, olive oil, garlic and pine nuts. Process until smooth and creamy sauce forms. Leave mixture in blender.
4. Cook pasta until al dente.
5. Add 1 Tbsp. of pasta water to the basil mixture and process briefly to blend.

Drain pasta and mix with sauce on a serving platter (if you're fancy) or in the pan (if you're us).
