    Default Sugar-Free Strawberry Pie

    Sugar-Free Strawberry Pie

    1 baked pie shell
1 package sugar-free vanilla instant pudding
    1 package sugar-free strawberry gelatin
    2-1/2 cups cold water
4 cups fresh strawberries, washed and hulled

In a saucepan, mix dry pudding and gelatin with water. Stir over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil. Remove from heat. Cool until slightly thickened. Arrange small whole or large sliced strawberries in pie shell. Pour cooled mixture over berries.Refrigerate until set. Serve with whipped topping, if desired. Add a whole strawberry with stem for garnish.

With all those goodies we are enjoying on our virtual picnic - I thought we should watch our calories! LOL

I don't use the sugar-free items when I make this.
Today was a hot soup day - it's below zero and the winds are howling - so far we got over 10 inches of snow and it is not stopping - a total white out. Can't stay out too long and shovel - too cold -

Mama, Have you done this with regular sugared Jello? I love strawberries. For pies I usually add some rhubarb too. I'll have to try this if regular jello works.

This is a great pie. The sugar-free is perfect for us since my DH is diabetic. Thanks again for sharing.

Stay warm folks, it is bitter here this morning.

I never use anything that is sugar-free, fat-free, low-calorie, etc. I would be banished from my kingdom (the kitchen) if I did!

Mama, it isn't so bad once you've been away from the good stuff for a bit. You get used to it and actually look forward to it. We both have heart disease, and DH is diabetic so we haven't much choice. However, we do stray occassionally.
