Default 7-Up Pork Chops s

7-Up Pork Chops


6 pork chops (1" thick)
1 (12 ounce) bottle 7-Up soda
1 package onion soup mix

Put chops in shallow pan. Pour 7-up over chops and sprinkle with onion soup mix. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

That is definitely something I've never heard of! I wonder how much the 7-up affects the flavor of the pork chop (and what it tastes like)?

It gives it a nice flavor without overwhelming it. I would not use Sprite - it's too syrupy sweet.

I don't think it really makes them more tender - but I cook my chops tender anyway. We prefer our meats well done and tender - regardless of how long it takes to cook. (Probably because I am the chief cook and they don't have to do it! LOL)
