Default Which pots and pans to buy?

I am finally in a position where I can purchase some good pots and pans, or at least some decent ones. LOL. Does anyone have any recommendations as to which ones would be good to buy for about $100?

I really like T-fal. You can get a really good set at a deparment store for unfer a $100.

If you want something like Wolfgang Puck, you could check out HSN. They get good deals sometimes.

If you are serious about buying a decent set of pans, save your $100 in an account and then save about $100 dollars more and buy them after Christmas when the white sales and after Christmas sales are going on. We bought some awesome hard anodized pots and pans for about $200 at JC penneys.

I gave up buying pan "sets" long ago - now I buy them individually for what I want to use them for - most of mine come from the restaurant supply house - and they last forever - a bit pricy - but they are worth it!

I agree with loubear, save up some more money & then check out JCPenney's. I got a wonderful set of Cooks hard anodized with a small & large stockpot & a santoku knife for about $199.00, absolutely LOVE them. Also have Rachael Ray's 14pc hard anodized set which I love as well, but that one runs about 299.00. I've previously always just gone for the "cheapest" I could get, but, I've found out you get what you pay for.

Mine also came from JCPenney's online. I got a nice hard anodized set for about $150 a few years ago and they are still like new.
