As I have posted here several times, whether I am thinking buying almost anything, books, music, electronics, kitchen stuff, I go to Amazon.com to check out the customer reviews. I often end up buying there since the prices are usually good and many things qualify for free shipping. If you aren't in a town with big store, you can use Target or Macy's online to compare prices.
here is link to start with--
    Amazon.com: Calphalon - Home & Garden: Home & Garden

I too have a pretty good bunch of cast iron pieces and one or two of most of the brands you mention. I bought two Calphalon Commercial Hard-Anodized 12-Inch Everyday pans. I do not have any of their tri ply SS, but you can click on those and read reviews and then put the other brands in the search.
I have an AllClad dutch oven, two larger sauce pans and a covered frying pan, never liked to idea of sets much, have some ancient small Revere Ware pieces. A off brand stainless pasta pot with strainer. A gorgeous Cuisnart covered casserole type pan. A Cuisnart roasting pan with rack.
    Have fun shopping and
    Happy Holidays,
    Nan

Welcome Bubba707, hey could also be 007 I do not have many fancy pots & pans but I do love my cast iron skillet best. Other than that I hope one day to be on the same quest as you and needing some in-put into as what would be best. Take if from me Shipscook is very knowledgeable and she most definitely knows her way around a kitchen, any advice she has I would recommend giving heed to.

It is nice to have a new member and hope you will join and stay around a while I think you may just like it. It was the 1st and only forum I ever joined and I am glad I did! We share more than just recipes and it's fun to have a place on-line where we "foodies" can hang-out, swap ideas, ask questions and generally share!

Welcome to Spice Palce Forums Buba007!!!

Hey Bubba. My name is Janie. I hope you stay here at our little forum. We love new members.
Nan will never lead you wrong. Always listen to her.

I really like hard anodized cookware. I bought a set of JCPenney brand several months ago that I have used everyday. They still look brand new. I have a stainless steel set I got from Penney's to that are still in great shape. I love my cast iron. A good set of cookware and a good set of knives are key to cooking.
