Default Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Pie

Here's a delicious chocolate and ice cream dessert that was posted in the cooking forums by shannone on September 3, 2006.

It's basically a chocolate ice cream pie in a crust of rice cristpies that have been coated in a chocolate syrup mix.

You can find the complete recipe in the original post under desserts/pies: Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Pie.

This is a great recipe because of the contrasts between the ice cream smoothness and the dark chocolate flavor.

Oh, another contrast in this dessert that is excellent is the creamy smooth chocolate ice cream on top of the chocolate covered rice krispies crust:

btw - I think this would make an excellent parfait as well - I've got those parfait glasses with covers from Tupperware from years ago and this would be nice for individual parfaits served with a dollop of whipped cream and chocolate chips, jimmes or nuts on top!
