    Talking Easy Chicken Pot Pie

With it being so cold, and Sunday - which to me has always been a "family" and "home-time" day - a good comfort meal sounds so good! This was posted by Cathy - and easy and delicious recipe that is sure to warm tummies and leave memories of comfort-foods for years to come! Very easy to adapt to your family's taste buds!

    Cook Chatty Cathy
    Easy Chicken Pot Pie

Boil and season 1 small whole chicken and debone. Save the broth and place it into a dutch oven, to the broth add 1 med. potato, peeled and diced, 2 carrotts peeled and diced, and 1 cup frozen peas, place deboned chicken meat back into pot. To thicken broth use 1/2 cup milk and 4 tbsp flour mix well and add to the pot cook just until thickened. Pour all this into a large oblong baking dish and add salt and pepper as desired, then cover with a store bought or homemade pie crust, cut vent holes in top of crust and bake at 350 degrees until the crust is golden brown.

    Yummy!!!

You may add or subtract veggies depending on your own tastes!

Remember thickened gravy will continue to cook in oven so do not make it too thick!

    winter squash
    asparagus
    green pepper
    green beans
    wax beans
    chickpeas

    celeriac
    rutabaga
    turnips
    parsnips
