I'm a HUGE football fan and as far as I'm concerned - it's never too early to think about football and tailgating!
For a typical football game it's a big lunch with homemade macaroni, homemade bread, salad, bracciole and meatballs with pies and cakes for dessert. I schedule it so that we can enjoy our meal, get the kitchen cleaned up and still watch kickoff! Later in the day it's homemade pizzas and chicken wings, finger sandwiches, as well as dips, cheese and cracker trays, etc. Superbowl is a total feast day! Tailgating - anything goes! And you have to bring enough for anyone who wants some! |

I often do chili or taco soup, especially when it's cold. With cornbread, of course.
And plenty of homemade salsa and the classic Rotel-Velveeta dip. I usually do some cookies for dessert - nothing too messy and nothing that needs a plate. |
