This is a make a day a head recipe but it's great.
1 medium sized head of cabbage, sliced
1 medium bell pepper, sliced thin
1 medium onion, sliced thin
Place vegetables in a bowl and top with 1 cup of sugar. Don't mix. Set aside.
Cole Slaw Dressing
1 cup vinegar
3/4 cup canola oil
1 tsp dry mustard powder
1 tsp celery seed
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
Place the dressing ingredients in a sauce pan and bring to a full boil. Remove from heat, and pour over the cabbage and carrot mixture. Stir together well. Place in the refrigerator overnight to allow the flavors to meddle together.
