Default Deli Coleslaw Low Fat Recipe

Deli Coleslaw Low Fat Recipe

Celery seeds, if you like them, make a nice addition to this low fat slaw. If you plan on doubling the recipe, buy packaged, preshredded slaw mix to save yourself some preparation time.

Ingredients:
2-1/2 cups shredded cabbage
3/4 cup shredded carrots
1/4 cup green bell pepper, diced
1/4 cup red bell pepper, diced
1/4 cup onion, diced
1/2 cup fat-free mayonnaise
1 tablespoon white vinegar
Sugar substitute to equal 1 tablespoon sugar
2 teaspoons dried parsley flakes
1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Directions:
In a medium bowl, combine cabbage, carrots, green pepper, red pepper, and onion.

In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar substitute, parsley flakes, and black pepper. Add mayonnaise mixture to cabbage mixture. Mix well to combine.

Cover and refrigerate at least 30 minutes. Gently stir just before serving.
