Can this be made without the sour cream?? I don't like sour cream, so I was wondering if maybe more Cool Whip could be used. Or maybe something else entirely.

I'm sure you probably could just add more cool whip, it would just be "lighter" (if that's the right word)

I wonder if you could use cream cheese instead of the sour cream...hmmmm....

I just looked up substitutes for sour cream....

1 c. sour cream equals ...

*3/4 c. sour milk or buttermilk & 1/3 c. butter or margarine

or

*blend 1/3 c. buttermilk, 1 T. lemon juice & 1 c. cottage cheese until smooth

or

*1 c. plain yogurt

OR...

*3/4 c. milk, 3/4 t. lemon juice, 1/3 c. butter or margarine

hope that helps!
