Default Taco Salad

Taco Meat
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped fine
  • 8 ounce can kidney beans
  • Small can of pitted olives
  • 1 package taco seasoning
  • 1 package Doritos

Salad Makings
  • 2 cups shredded lettuce
  • 2 cups chopped tomatoes

Dressing
  • Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing Mix
  • 2 cups mayonnaise
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 1 large avocado, peeled, and mashed
  • Grated Monterey Jack Cheese
  1. Make the taco meat by browning the meat and onion in a non-stick skillet. Add the kidney beans, taco seasoning, and olives. Simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring to cook evenly.
  2. While the taco meat is cooking, shred the lettuce, and dice the tomatoes.
  3. Also prepare the salad dressing by mixing the package of Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing with the mayonnaise, buttermilk, and mashed avocado.
  4. To make the Taco Salad:
Place Doritos on a plate. Top with the taco seasoned meat. Then top with the Monterey Jack cheese. Top with lettuce, and tomatoes, and the pour some of the dressing over top.
