Default Scalloped Oysters Recipe

1 pint oysters
2 cups oyster crackers, crushed
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup butter
1 cup milk, warmed
1 teaspoon salt

Put 1 cup oyster cracker crumbs into a heavily buttered casserole. Dot with 1/4 cup butter. Layer oysters, then remaining cracker crumbs, then remaining 1/4 cup butter. Cover with milk. Let stand for 30 minutes. Bake at 375° F. for 30 minutes.
