Default Crockpot Noodle Dinner

Au Jus Beef And Noodles

6 servings

2 pounds stew beef meat
2 (7 ounce) cans sliced mushrooms, undrained
2 cups beef broth
1 (1 ounce) package dry au jus gravy mix
Worcestershire sauce to taste
Salt, pepper, garlic salt to taste
Hot cooked noodles

Place stew meat in crockpot. Add beef broth and mushrooms. Add seasonings to taste and sprinkle in au jus gravy mix to taste. Cover; cook on LOW for 7 to 8 hours.

Serve over hot cooked noodles.

NOTE: Store any leftover gravy mix in a cool, dry place in an airtight container.


Cucumber Salad


6 cups fresh cucumbers, sliced into rounds
1 cup bell pepper (red. yellow & green mixed), sliced in thin rounds
2 large onions, sliced in rings
1 tsp salt
1 1/2-2 cups sugar
1 cup white vinegar

Mix all ingredients well. Refrigerate and let stand overnight to let flavors mingle.


Skillet Buttermilk Biscuits


2 cups all-purpose flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
Pinch of salt
1/4 cup butter
1 cup buttermilk
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons butter, melted


Stir together first four ingredients in large bowl. Cut 1/4 cup butter into mixture with pastry cutter until crumbly. Add buttermilk and stir just until dry ingredients are moistened. Turn dough onto lightly floured surface. Pat to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut with 2-1/2 inch round cutter. Place 2 tablespoons butter in 10-1/2 inch cast iron skillet. Place in 350°F oven for 5 minutes until butter melts. Remove from oven and add biscuits.

Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes, or until golden. Brush hot biscuits with melted butter. Yield: 1 dozen


PEANUT BUTTER CRUNCH CAKE


1 pkg. cake mix
1/4 c. oil
1 c. water
1/2 c. brown sugar
3 eggs
1/3 c. chopped nuts
1 c. creamy peanut butter
1 small pkg. chocolate bits

Heat oven to 350* F. Grease and flour 13 X9-inch pan. Beat cake mix dry with brown sugar and peanut butter, on low until crumbly. Reserve 2/3 cup of mixture. Beat remaining mix with water, oil and eggs on low, scraping until moistened. Beat on medium speed 2 minutes. Pour into pan. Stir nuts into crumb mixture and sprinkle over batter. Sprinkle with chocolate chips. Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until cake springs back when touched.
