    Good Lord, Janie! YUM!

In the early 80's I worked at a restaurant in St. Charles, IL. called "The Galleon", which was a Red Lobster-like joint.

We had a Baskin-Robbins Mud Pie on our dessert menu and of course kept our inventory of them in the kitchen's huge walk-in freezer. During the hot-sticky summer-time staff would find ANY excuse to go into the freezer for a spell, and it wasn't long before we all (2 dozen of us!) discovered that wedges of Mud Pie could be easily slipped from the cartons and eaten pretty much mess-free while standing in the freezer cooling-off! Needless to say, when the chef found out, not only did the Mud Pie come OFF the menu, but many of us really caught HELL!
