    Default Grilled Rosemary Lamb Chops

    Grilled Rosemary Lamb Chops


    Ingredients
    2 pounds lamb rib chops
    Salt and freshly ground black pepper
    3 tablespoons olive oil
    1 tablespoon chopped fresh rosemary leaves
    2 teaspoons freshly chopped garlic

    Directions
    Season the lamb chops with salt and pepper. In a large bowl, stir together the oil, rosemary and garlic.
    Add lamb chops, turning to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or up to 24 hours.
    Prepare grill to medium heat.
    Grill or broil chops to desired doneness.
    About 6 minutes for rare, 7 minutes for medium- rare.
    Turn chops so they brown well on all sides

    ya know janie... I rarely if ever cook lamb at home, but chops or a whole rack of lamb was on the menu of almost every restaurant I ever cooked at. Sometimes we'd all split an extra or leftover rack- and at times I really miss it!

    It is so expensive who can afford it these days. We used to do a small boneless leg of lamb for the hoidays and had to stop because it got so high. It went from $14-$16 for a 5 or 6 pound piece to over $20.
