    Default Classic Tuna Salad

    Classic Tuna Salad

    SERVES 4

2 (6 ounce) cans albacore tuna
    2 tablespoons lemon juice, fresh
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/4 teaspoon pepper
    1/4 cup minced celery
    2 tablespoons minced red onions
    2 tablespoons minced dill
    1/8 teaspoon minced garlic
    2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
    1/2 cup mayonnaise
    1/4 teaspoon Dijon mustard

Drain the tuna in a colander and shred with your fingers until no clumps remain and the texture is fine and even.
Transfer the tuna to a medium bowl and mix in lemon juice, salt, pepper, celery, onion, pickles, garlic and parsley until evenly blended.
Fold in mayonnaise and mustard until tuna is moistened.
Salad can be covered and refrigerated for up to 3 days.

Hon that is a recipe I found on another site. Like you I thought it sounded delish. I have to wait til my next trip to Walmart to get some fresh dill for the recipe before I can try it. I love tuna.

janie- I shopped a bit tonight and was too busy/tired to cook so I got mom and I tuna subs from Subway. Their's is a bit wetter than my taste- but the flavor was still good- hit the spot!

Janie - I do a tuna salad about once a week and not too different from yours. The exception being a lot of Granny Smith apple as an extender.
