Rhubarb-Strawberry Sauce

Ingredients:

4 C fresh or frozen rhubarb
4 C fresh or frozen unsweetened strawberries
1 C sugar
1/2 C water
1 tsp. lemon zest
1 tsp. orange zest
vanilla ice cream


Directions:

Bring all ingredients except ice cream to a boil in a saucepan. Reduce heat and simmer approximately 10 minutes or until the rhubarb is tender. Skim off any foam that appears on top. Let the mixture cool completely, then chill in the fridge. Serve over vanilla ice cream. Yummy! And good for you, too. :D
