2 tablespoons butter
2 cups rice
12 cloves
3 cinnamon sticks
2 teaspoon salt
4 cups water
Melt butter. Add rice, brown over medium low heat for 12 minutes. Add spices and water, bring to a boil and simmer for 15 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand, covered, for 15 minutes. Serve with curry or other spice sauce. Serves six.
