I wish I had someone around here to share it with. Jon doesnt like any kind of soup.
It is so hard to make a small amount of soup. My sis's hubby is supposed to come to town Mon so Im gonna send her a bunch of it then. He is coming to get the cheesecake I made her for her birthday. I used to share soup with my older neighbor lady but she moved to Columbus OH to live with her son last June. She still calls and says she misses my cooking but my homemade bread is what she misses most lol. I never knew she liked the bread that much. After she moved and I found out she liked it so well I wish I had made it for her more often.

Thank you Cookie.
My sis asked me when they come tomorrow if I can show her how to make shrimp scampi Soooo I peeled and deveined a pound of medium shrimp and stowed it in the fridge til they come tomorrow. It is a quick dish so Im sure she will get it after one demo. I really need to show her how to do breakfast gravy. She misses Mom's gravy so much and has never gotten the hang of it. I told her she better come hungry lol. I hope I get the chance to make a loaf of french bread before they come so I can grill some for them to dip into the scampi broth.

Your sister better come hungry, lol. Your planning quite a menu and it sounds like you still had the night to keep adding on to it.

Now if Bubba Gump knew anything at all, he knew that one should never ever I REPEAT.. NEVER over-cook SHRIMP!!!!

Do love the part of the movie where they are cleaning the floors and Bubba is calling off all the "Shrimp Dishes"!

My favorite shrimp dish is Shrimp Etoufe' with french toast points, made at a little cafe' in Mobile, AL gosh that stuff could clog an artery with just one spoon full, but sooooo worth taking the chance!!!!

They were hungry when they came so I had sausage cooked and biscuits made. I showed her how to make gravy and fried her eggs. Evelyn and Catie nibbled on biscuits then Evelyn said she was hungry. I asked Cole if she wanted to learn to do the scampi and she said yeah so I showed her how to make it and told her to never ever over cook it. Med shrimp on my stove was less than 2 min til perfectly done. Little Miss Picky five year old ate half a pound of shrimp scampi of all things lol. I told Cole to be careful when she reheated the leftovers not to over do it cause they would turn to rubber. She took her soup, scampi leftovers and cheesecake home with them. She was so full when she left she said she would enjoy the food tomorrow. Evelyn took the rest of the chocolate biscotti cookies I had on my desk. Her Momma told her she couldnt have them I told her if there is a cookie in this house and either of those babies want them they can have them with my blessing.

I had the parsley and garlic already minced in little plastic cups in the fridge so everything for the scampi was ready to throw in the skillet. Needless to say I had some dishes to wash when they left.
