My current is Denby Blue Jetty. My favoourite colour is blue and I went through a "blue and white ware" phase. Still have some of those but I'm really enjoying the Blue Jetty. Which reminds me -- it's probably time to add a few pieces because you know how it is when it's discontinued time.

My dishes have blue roses all the way around them. I like my mom's better though. LOL Hers have grape clusters on them & I think they're prettier.

My favorite dinnerware sets are VIETRI. They are sogreat for elegant dining and everyday use who needs two sets of plates with vietri you get it all in one dish. I love the Incanto line!! Let me know what you think about VIETRI.

    Cool "golden oldie" thread, mama!

W/ a restaurant background I have always liked plain white china. In restaurants the thought is that white shows-off the food best. Kind of a clean palette for the food. So I have mostly plain white stuff. But I love the look of all those neat colors and patterns too! I especially love the look of old antique vintage stuff- especially blue & white.

I also like wood- as in trays, platters, bowls and such. And hand-thrown pottery in shades of green and brown.

Too bad I didn't meet you sooner - we sold all my mother's on bay and what didn't sell disappeared or was given to good will. What sold on bay went for cheap.

The wife picked all that and I don't have a clue what it is. She griped so much about me putting them in the microwave that I bought one piece of everything in Corelle ware (stark white) and nuke and serve everything in them.
