    Default Apple Sweet Potato Bake

    3 C. Sliced Peeled Cooked Sweet Potatoes
    3 C. Sliced Peeled Tart Apples
    3/4 C. Packed Brown Sugar
    3/4 Tsp. Gr. Nutmeg
    1/4 Tsp. Gr. Allspice
    1/4 Tsp Salt
    1 Dash Pepper
    3 Tbsp. Butter

    1) In A Greased 1 1/2 Qt. Baking Dish, Layer Half Of The Sweet Potatoes And Apples.

    2) Combine Brown Sugar, & Seasonings; Sprinle Half Over Apples & Potatoes.

    3) Dot With Half The Butter.

    4) Repeat Layers.

    5) Cover And Bake At 350 Degrees For 15 Minutes.

    6) Baste With Pan Juices.

    7) Bake, Uncovered, 15 Imnutes Longer Or Until Apples Are Tender.


    You Can Top With 1 Cup Chopped Pecans Or Walnuts If You So Desire To The Last 15 Minutes Of Cooking After You Get Done With Basting.

    Sweet potato casserole with apples and brown sugar is topped with cheddar cheese. Sweet potato bake recipe with apples.

    We love this Kev! You ought to see my little family tear it up!!! I believe it is a hybrid dish ( a crossover: somewhere between desert and vegetable dish )
