    Default Cook Out

Is anyone else having a cookout for Labor Day? I am planning my meal and getting started on some of my dishes. I will be having brats, barbeque chicken, ribs, hotdogs, hamburgers, baked beans, corn cake, corn on the cobb, baked potatoes, and several pasta salads. I hope everyone brings some sort of dish also. I dont think I can handle making everything.

That sounds like alot of food to prepare... what are you doing, feeding an army? Or just a couple teenage boys? LOL...

I had about 30 people at my house today for my cookout. It was alot of fun and the food was great. Everyone brought something and that really helped out a lot. With all the cooking I was doing I can say that I did not burn anything. I am going to be having leftovers for a few days.

Congrats on not burning anything... that takes skill, especially when your making 4 or 5 dishes at once.

I remember my first Christmas dinner (last Christmas), I was so proud that I didn't burn anything and actually got all the food on the table by myself. This year I won't be cooking, unfortunately. I actually liked it.

I have enough trouble cooking for myself, I don't think I could do it for several people.

It's hard to cook outside for beginning chefs, especially when it's windy and there are lots of people running around.
