We had chicken and noodles. Like I boiled the chicken and added carrots, onions, garlic, pepper and salt. Then took the chicken out and boiled the egg noodles. It was almost a disaster because there wasnt enough water for the noodles and I had to add more water. But it ended up tasting ok. Oh we had welch's grape juice to drink.

We had chili dogs. We bought them for lunch, but the shopping trip lasted longer than usual. We were there for 4 hours, instead of our usual 2. Hubby and daughter wanted to look at Wal-Mart's Halloween stuff. Did you know they are already putting out some Christmas things??? By the time we were done, me & the baby were both cranky. She was hungry & sleepy, my feet & hip were hurting. We didn't get home till 3:30, putting away the groceries and everything took till at least 4, probably more like 4:15. Which is only about 20 min earlier than we usually eat dinner, so I went ahead & made the chili dogs for dinner. They were good, I probably shouldn't have ate the chili though. I had the worst heartburn last night, but I always have heartburn anymore.

Well... Paul had some medical stuff done yesterday and he's been on a liquid diet for a few days. It was extended through last night....

so, we had a weird evening of food.
first a little beef broth
then some tomato soup made with water (ICK)
then some strained mushroom soup ( he got the juice and I took all the mushrooms)
then he had a fudge icecream bar
and then we had some chocolate pudding
around midnight he cheated and had a scambled egg.

Tonight it's back to REAL food. He wants pizza or burgers with bacon and cheese. It sounds good to me though I think he should have something a little easier to swallow.

Hi everyone.. this is my second post. I just thought I'd add to this thread.

Today I did my second test for a tequilla citrus marinaded sirloin. I've been playing with ingredients and I'm liking it so far. I think I'll add some honey next time and use it for chicken.

Anyways,
>Grilled Sirloin with a tequilla citrus marinade...then topped with sauteed mushrooms and gorganzolla
>Saute' Zuchinni, summer squash mix
>Mashed potatoes

and as usual .. something else for my 3 1/2 year old son. Tonight it was chicken nuggets, apple, and he managed a bite of mashed potatoes... sigh

I made the Turkey Tamale Pie from the latest cooking light issue. It was really good! Next time I'll double the amount of filling though, b/c i ended up doubling the amount of cornbread topping.
