I had a rice krispie treat.

Out of town, working late, didn't want to order a bunch of room service at 9:00.

We had fried chicken wings and rice. Just regular short grain rice. Oh also I did end up baking a few wings because I was getting tired of frying them. We had sprite to drink.

I found a great recipe in my new Cooking Light for shrimp fried rice. I may make that tonight.

Actually, this month's cooking light seems better than usual, so we'll probably be eating quite a few meals out of it.

Tried a recipe out of some magazine (not a cooking one, just a sort of housewives dealie) for what they called "Firecracker Pork Roast." Just regular pork roast on the grill, basted in a marinade made of hot sauce, horseradish sauce, and orange marmalade. I was expecting way-too-hot-for-me, but it was just right. Then again, I am a big baby about spicy foods.

Served with oven fries, baked beans, and a fruit salad. No leftovers!

That sounds delicious. Citrus and spicy are an unbeatable combination! I often make a sauce of chipotles and orange marmalade.

Speaking of spicy, tonight we are having grilled chicken breasts marinated in "baja chipotle" marinade. I actually don't have quite enough of the marinade so I am going to make a basting sauce of chipotles and orange marmalade. While we're grilling, we'll do some corn on the cob too.

Last night we had pepper steak, served over rice.

I used to not care for Asian foods at all, but they have sort of grown on me in recent years. I will say that I don't care for the foods you often get at the Chinese buffets which are quite greasy. Japanese food seems a bit healthier.

We grilled burgers. And corn.

It's summertime, what else?
