Default My recipe for Scrambled Eggs

This is how I make scrambled eggs.
It's really quick and easy, not to forget very tasty too.

Ingredients:

Eggs : 2 large
Onion sliced: 1 medium
Green chillies minced(as per taste)
Tomatoes chopped: 1 large
Green Peas: A handful
Coriander/parsley (for garnishing)
Oil/Butter
Salt to taste
Red pepper/Black pepper (as per preference)
Garam Masala(Indian Curry powder)-optional

Method:

Heat the oil in a pan
Fry the onions till slightly brown.
Add the tomatoes and green chillies and fry for 2 minutes.
Beat the eggs in a bowl with salt & pepper.
Now add the eggs and also the peas and mix quickly
so as to break it into small pieces.
Fry for a few minutes.
Sprinkle with garam masala & coriander.
You are done!

Did you cook the eggs beforehand or did you put everything together and just made it like an omlette. I did not understand the recipe completely. Can you please clarify?

Tasty!

I'd try it without the curry powder. I don't know where to get Garam Masala.

Is this hot?

Hey Sophie, I like my food to be really really hot and spicy but you can leave out the green chillies if you wish to.
Curry powder or Garam masala is easily available in any Indian stores.
You must ask for the powder not the whole spices.

Nice recipe. Will try it out sometime and let you know. the list of ingredients suggest the dish would look colorful too. Scrambled eggs is a staple in my house.
I have it for breakfast, for lunch, for dinner and sometimes as snacks too. :-)

I love hot and tasty food...but not too hot. I've been to Thailand and most of teh food I have eaten there were hot!

So Garam Masala is just curry powder or is it a special type of curry powder? I love chicken curry.

I wouldn't say that Garam Masala is a type of curry powder.
Actually, in most places outside India, they refer to the same thing.
However, in the Northern & Southern parts of India (that is where the two names originated), there are some minor differences in the ingredients.

We usually put onions, tomatos, green peppers, cooked sausage or real bacon bits into our srambled eggs with a dash or two of tabasco sauce. We then put them in either corn or flour tortillas. My kids love them. If you make them in flour you can make some extras for a quick breakfast during the week.
