Today we made sweet dish and do pooja, I woke up at 5.00 am to cook all and send my boyfriend to work, as I was almost done, finished making sweet dish for pooja, and giving final touches to my sambhar, when I went to put flowers for the lamps in my pooja room and fully forgot about the sambhar, when I came back after suddenly remembering, the sambhar was sticking to the vessel and there was very little left of it, I could do nothing but throw it, my boyfriend went to work without his lunch as it was already late
Do you have such experiences to share where you want to hurry up everything and it turns upside down? |

My husband had bragged to his family about my delicious macaroni and cheese. Well, I made it as usual when the whole family was over. Except, the cheese would not melt. Then I realized the cheese I bought was light, and that's harder to melt. I kept the macaroni in a little longer, but no melting. So I turned the broiler on, just wanting to melt the cheese on top. Bad move, in two minutes the entire top layer was charred. Disaster. No one could eat it.

Lila42 I have done the same thing but with chicken. I was making mexican chicken and I had friends over and the cheese wouldn't melt. I was so embarrased cause there was this clump of cheese. So I wentg overboard on the salsa and made it to hot for our friends to eat. I think we ended up eating alot of salad that night and my DH and I ate alot of chicken for lunches and dinners.

I know, don't you just hate that? The same thing you make over and over at home with no problem won't turn out when someone else is at dinner. It's kind of like my hair, I have a great hairday when I am off from work and see no one that I know and I don't really care what it looks like. Let there be a special occasion and you can bet my hair will know it and act accordingly...lol

Oh, I forgot , here's my worst cooking disaster. Luckily, it was just my family but still...I hade made potroast with mushrooms, potatoes and onions, a simmering gravy on top. Just about done. The aroma was incredible. In a pyrex round dish, I had my infamous (melted this time) macaroni and cheese. Just about done. And then I had biscuits warming in another small pan. I went to take out my delicious dinner and actually gasped! For some reason, the pyrex dish had exploded. Glass was everywhere! Macaroni, and the wonderfully melted cheese was all over the stove. The glass was in the roast and also little bits of glass were in the biscuit pan. Has anyone ever had their glass baking dishes explode? The whole meal had to be thrown away. Then I had to clean the stove out.
