Default bbq chicken wings.

Tonight we are having oven barbecued chicken wings and some frozen vegetables. We will have iced tea to drink. I may make some rice also.

How'd these chicken wings come out? I'm afraid of grilling something that small as the way I could it could become ash, and then I'd need to start over. Do you grill them over the heat or off to the side?

I have a couple ways of making BBQ wings. One way is to bake them in the oven until they are done, then transfer to the electric grill (table-top size) and brush with BBQ sauce. Get good grill marks; turn and brush and grill-mark the other side.

If I feel like deep-frying them - I deep fry until done and do the electric grill thing.

Doing the wings in the oven makes them very tender and they fall right off the bone! Deep frying them makes them tougher.

I like to do chicken pieces on the regular charcoal grill outside - but wings I feel you would have to really watch and I want them cooked all the way through not just charred on the outside.

The chicken wings came out pretty good. I barbecued them in the oven on 400 degrees. We dont have a grill. We have to get one. But they tasted pretty good!

I agree that the oven is the best way to cook chicken wings. They're so thin that a minute or two extra on the grill could result in disaster.
