Default Shrimp Kebabs

In Texas we do alot of grilling. Here is a nice recipe for dinner.
Ingredients: 2 tblsp. soy sauce, 2 tblsp. honey, 3 cloves minced garlic, 1 1/2 tsp. curry powder, 2 tblsp. lime juice, 2 tblsp. brown sugar, 3 tblsp. veg. oil, divided 1 1/2 pounds shrimp, peeled, deveined. You will need skewers also.

Combine soy sauce, honey, garlic, curry powder, lime juice, brown sugar and 1 tblsp., oil in a large bowl. Whisk until brown sugar is dissolved. Add shrimp to the bowl; stir well to coat. Cover; chill for about 20 min. Meanwhile, soak several wooden skewers in a shallow dish of water for 20 min. Preheat grill. Thread shrimp onto skewers. Grill turning and brushing with the marinade and remaining oil, until shrimp are browned, about 5 min. on each side. To keep the shrimp from spinning on the skewer, insert the skewer through both ends of the shrimp.
If shrimp are to pricey, you can use chicken instead for a satisfying meal. Purchase 1 1/2 pounds skinless boneless chicken. Cut the meat into 1 inch cubes for great kebabs.
A great side dish: wild rice and baby carrots. Enjoy!

I love Shrimp on the grill, thanks for sharing this recipe! We love Shrimp-K-Bobs but have never tried them with this marinade you've posted, this sounds very good! I must give it a try.
