Ok folks this is easily one of my best meals

I started by baking the potatoes at 350 for 1 1/2 hrs. Pulled them out of the oven and scooped out the insides

Meanwhile I had fried up some bacon. Yeah bacon

Once the potatoes were allscooped out, I whipped the potatoes with sour cream, chives, cheddar cheese, milk and butter

I then filled the potato shells with the whipped potatoes and

Then topped them with bacon ( yeah bacon )
And of course a sprinkling of my bbq rub
The potatoes went back in the oven for a bit while the steaks cooked. I also did 2 of them on the grill and I'v e got to say the skins took on a great flavor from the wood fire.

Here we have Cathy's green beans sauteed in butter and bacon grease (yeah bacon)

Here are the NY strips which were about 1 1/4 inch thick

Got a nice fire going on the grill. Some lump charcoal and hickory for tonight.

Here we have the steaks being made love to by the flames

Here's the potatoes all done

And all plated up

I've got to say, I impressed myself tonight. My new steak rub was superb on the NY strips

Cathy the beans were superb. I had thought about adding some garlic, but forgot with everything else going on.

Occassionally I add garlic, but most often not. I just love the pure thing!

I'll bet the potatoes you finished up on the grill were good with the flavor from the wood & all!
