When we make taco salads we just use tortilla chips, lettuce, tomatos, cheese, hamburger meat with taco seasining, salsa, black beans, and rice. The kids will put sour cream on theirs and we will put sliced avocados on ous as well.

I have seen that alot of grocery stores are starting to sell the shells for taco salads. I am sure that it is alot cheaper for it to be made at home then to purchase a taco salad from Taco Bell or a resturant.

Yes there is a cheap spanish supermarket near by. And I usually buy dips and various things over there, they are not always cheaper. But they have some better types then others.

We went into a store called Vallarta the other day and was amazed at all the different salsas tht they made and sold. We actually purchased some to go with out taco shells that I got there as well and it was delicious.

The salsas were homemade. They were not even in a container. It was like going to a Deli and ordering Salsa. It was great. The taco shells were however already packaged.
