This is one of the biggest problems I have. A lot of the time I eat out during lunch time and I'm trying to get out of that habit and eat more healthy. Some things I bring to work:
cottage cheese grapes nuts of some sort (right now its pistachios) tortilla chips and salsa (though its not entirely healthy its a good substitute for fries). Salad etc. I usually like to bring small amounts of lots of different things, to keep me interested. |

I don't eat a large breakfast so when lunch time rolls around I find I'm famished. Nonetheless, I, too, try to bring along healthy fare with me. I bring yogurt and fruit, sometimes I take a slice of veggie pizza which I nuke, in the cooler weather I often bring soup, frequently I take salad in a Tupperware container. I've even taken the hummus with some pita bread. As long as it's filling, I do try to make healthy choices because by dinner time I feel an impulse to eat anything that isn't nailed down.

I admit that the "presentation" keeps me interested too. Small things amuse big kiddies, what can I say? |

A friend told me about this blog on which there are healthy vegan lunch ideas.
http://veganlunchbox.blogspot.com/ So many of my co-workers think I'm a "stick in the mud" for not wanting to lunch w/ them on an almost daily basis. Not only do these bistro lunches add up, but they go straight to the hips, too. Those days are gone for moi. LOL I brown bag/containerize it. |
