Default Rotini Beef Chili For Dinner T'night

Hi Folks -- it's easy, it's tasty, and if you cook the pasta and the ground beef prior, you have something you can just "throw" together in no time at all. Anyway, I'm serving this with salad and rolls. I'm hungry already and it's 3 + hours until dinner.

Preparation: 10 minutes Cook: 50 minutes

1 lb lean ground beef
4 cloves garlic, minced
3 onions, chopped
1 cup tomato spaghetti sauce
1 can (28 oz)tomatoes
1 cup water
2 tbsp chili powder
1 tbsp salt
1 can (19 oz)kidney beans, drained
1/4 of a 500 g pkg Rotini pasta
Shredded cheddar cheese
Tortilla or corn chips,lightly crushed

In a large saucepan, brown beef with garlic and onions. Stir in tomatoes, breaking apart with fork. Add spaghetti sauce, water, chili powder and salt. Simmer, covered, 35 minutes. Add beans; cook 10 minutes longer. Cook rotini according to package directions. Stir rotini into chili mixture; heat through. Serve topped with cheddar cheese and tortilla chips.

Makes 8 servings.
