Default Baby vegetables

Is it just me, or are baby vegetables a seemingly simple ingredient that is somehow incredibly hard to find? It's frustrating because they're perfect for grilling and also for an elegant dinner, but I can't find them to save my life. Even the gourmet grocery store near me had baby eggplant, but nothing else, one of the many times I've searched.

Do you have any Asian food markets near you? Baby vegetables are used so often in Asian cooking that i imagine you'd be able to get what you need. i am often frustrated with the produce selection at my grocery stores too (but that's more b/c i'm picky about what i'll buy conventional vs. organic).

Thank you, that is a great suggestion! I don't know that I've ever shopped at an Asian market, but since I'm in a large metropolitan area, I'm sure I could find one.

I just roll my eyes every time I watch a cooking show and they're using baby vegetables and the host says something about their being available in every grocery store. Um, I don't think so!
