    Default Hottest Hot Sauce?

    Hi people

What's the hottest hot sauce you've ever had and where can I get it?

I remember reading somewhere that the hottest hot sauce in the world is Blair's 6am Reserve. Like ten times hotter than Tabasco. I haven't seen it in my local shops, though. Surely, its available somewhere online.

I thought I was really into hot sauce and food before I went down to Jamaica. Right before I left I went into one of the local shops and asked for the hottest hot sauce they had. The guy pointed me to a bottle on one of the shelves and I said, "No, I want what you use." He told me I was crazy but after a while of prodding he went in back and brought out this jar filled with what looked like tar. Long story short, I tried it when I got home and thought I'd have to call an ambulance.

So for me, the place where you can get the hottest sauce is that little store in Jamaica.

My brother in law loves Dave's Insanity Sauce. He says you needed to sign a release of injury waiver when you buy it. The bottle says to use by the half drop. Half of a drop is hard to measure.

An injury waiver? Boy that really must be hot. But most hot sauces have injury disclaimers on the labels anyway.

I was shopping at a little store in Salado, Texas where they have salsas, jams, sauces, and other assorted condiments, and they had a hot sauce that required a waiver to buy it. I can't even imagine what that was like.

We tasted a couple of others that had me in tears. I mean, serious pain. When stuff is that hot, it doesn't even taste good, because you can't taste anything but heat! I'm a Texan, and I like things spicy, but I guess even I have my limits!

That store is awesome, and you can order online. Check it out:

This is OT for this thread, but the cherry almond sauce is to die for served over homemade pound cake. MMMmmmmm!

Not exactly sure what kind of pepper it is, but the hottest pepper I have eaten (unprocessed) has to be whatever pepper they use in Chinese Orange Chicken. I ate one of those one time.....wow...that was very hot. One of the other hottest things I have tried was a pecan-sized portion of (undiluted) Wasabii. I had no idea that most people use a small portion and then dilute it with soy. Lesson Learned!

I make my own hot sauce and adjust the heat based on how much jalapeno I add. I've varied it quite a bit over the years, and it's great to be able to make it to your personal taste.

A friend of mine once went to get some submarine sandwiches for lunch at a place that also sold hot sauces. While he was waiting for his sandwiches to be made he noticed that they had several sauces out in little bowls for tasting along with nachos to dip in them. So he decided to try a taste of one and dipped a chip into the sauce and popped it in his mouth. It was absolutely the hottest hot sauce he ever had, and it even burnt into his Eustachian tube and his ear! He didn't take the time to notice the name of the sauce, paid, and couldn't eat anything for about 6 hours.
