Bean Curd Cheese

I have read from an old magazine this recipe that needs bean curd cheese. I think this recipe is delicious. But I don't know where can I get this ingredient. I went to the supermarket to find one but this ingredient is not available. Where can I find this? Is there any substitute for this ingredient?

bean curd cheese is similar to tofu except tofu is bland tasting while bean curd cheese is much saltier and much stronger in flavor
