Default The Really Wild Goose Chase!!!

OK so we decided on Pumpkin Pie and Tiramisu for our Thanksgiving desert > No problemo......except when we started looking for Lady Fingers, oh my gosh......we struck out over and over again no matter where we went...so last night we decided to give it one more shot and headed to Kroger's...well we went to the Bakery Dept. no dice, the bread isle no dice, the cookie isle again no dice so dejected and depressed we headed over to the produce section to see if we could pick up some fresh fruit cups and we even checked there by the sponge cake and Pound Cakes they have on display..NO DICE AGAIN!!! So I told my step-daughter "Let's have one more look in the Bakery Dept." so we went slowly around each and every area. Then I came to the same display stand she was checking out and she was starring really intently at something on the table and I looked down, there just to the left of whatever she was looking at lay one single lonely pkg of Lady Fingers, she did not even see it there! I was totally delighted and about jumped for joy, and was squealing with delight and she almost had a heart attack I held them up victorously and said "let's beat it before someone grabs them from us and runs!" So I am going to try and post a photo of us showing off our loot!

By the way that is me today, short hair & all and about 3 years older than the old photo I posted on SP!

And this is my youngest born child (the one wearing glasses is her!): http://www.flickr.com/photos/21158372@N05/4137005545/

Stella D'Oro used to make the Ladyfingers and they made sure there were plenty of them in the stores at this time of the year (I know - I did their books - my friend owned the distributorship for NY, PA, OH) and now that Kraft has taken over - pffft.

Leave it up to Kraft to screw everything up....
