Recipe: French Hot Dog Appetizer
French Hot Dogs
- 1 pound can cranberry sauce
- 1 cup port wine
- 1 tbsp prepared mustard
- 1 stick cinnamon
- 3 pounds large hot dogs
To make French Hot Dog Appetizer
- In 3 quart saucepan, mix the cranberry sauce with port wine and prepared mustard. Blend until smooth.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, and add the cinnamon stick. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Slice hot dogs diagonally into 1 inch pieces and add to the hot sauce.
- Place hot dogs and sauce in refrigerator, and marinate for at least 2 hours.
- Remove saucepan from refrigerator, and heat again to a boil, and simmer for 5 more minutes.
- Place the French Hot Dogs in a cafing dish, and serve with toothpicks.
