Recipe: Fried Rice Recipe
- 2 cups raw rice, not instant
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup canola oil
- 1/2 cup celery, chopped
- mushrooms, sliced (optional)
- white pepper to taste
- salt to taste
- soy sauce
Wash rice thoroughly. Add Canola oil to frying pan and heat. Place rice in hot Canola oil and brown rice till dark brown. Add chopped onion, celery, and mushrooms (optional). Cook until tender. When mixture is done, add salt and pepper to taste. Add water and let simmer, keep adding water till rice is done (1-2 hours of slow cooking). Serves 12. Serve with soy sauce.
